Article Publication Fee Policy

The Pakistan Journal of Allied Health Sciences (PJAHS)

Introduction

PJAHS is committed to ensuring the widest possible dissemination of high-quality research. We understand that publication costs can be a barrier for some authors. Therefore, we have established a publication fee policy that includes various scholarships and discounts to support teachers, PhD scholars, and international scholars.

Standard Article Publication Fee

Fee: Rs. 45,000/ for Pakistani National and 100 $ for international Researcher

Includes: Peer review, typesetting, indexing, maintenance of digital archives, DOI and administrative costs.

Scholarship and Discount Programs

Teachers' Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Current full-time teachers at accredited academic institutions.
  • Discount: 30% off the standard publication fee.
  • Application Process: Provide proof of current employment as a teacher (e.g., faculty ID, letter from the department head or email from the official address).

PhD Scholars' Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Current PhD candidates or those who have completed their PhD within the last two years.
  • Discount: 30% off the standard publication fee.
  • Application Process: Submit proof of PhD candidacy or completion (e.g., university enrollment documentation, Student University ID card, PhD certificate).

International Scholars' Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Researchers based in other countries.(Except Pakistan All world)
  • Discount: 75% off the standard publication fee.
  • Application Process: Provide proof of residence and affiliation with a research institution in an eligible country.

Application and Review Process for Scholarships

  1. Submission of Documentation: Authors should submit the necessary documentation for the relevant scholarship along with their manuscript.
  2. Verification: The journal’s administrative team will verify the eligibility of the applicant.
  3. Notification: Applicants will be notified of the scholarship decision prior to the peer-review process.

 Waiver Policy

In exceptional circumstances, PJAHS may offer a full waiver of the publication fee. This is considered on a case-by-case basis, particularly for authors from countries experiencing extreme financial hardship.

Waiver Request Process:

  • Submit a written request along with your manuscript, explaining the need for a waiver.
  • Provide documentation supporting your financial hardship, if available.

Notes

  • Scholarships and waivers are subject to availability and granted at the discretion of
  • The number of scholarships and waivers is limited and renewed quarterly.
  • Authors receiving a scholarship or waiver expected to adhere to the same submission and publication standards as all other authors.
